While working on the sky for the underpainting of this work, the images of space ships emerged in a suggestive manner. Without any particular deep sentiment or purpose on my part. I decided to go with it. That is how this painting got it’s other-worldly theme.

Mentre si lavorava sul cielo per la pittura di fondo di quest'opera, sono emerse in modo suggestivo le immagini delle navi spaziali. Senza alcun sentimento o scopo particolare e profondo da parte mia. Ho deciso di seguirlo. È così che questo dipinto ha ottenuto il suo tema ultraterreno.

Visitors rather than invaders. The ships seem to blend in with the environment so much as to be inseparable from the clouds and atmosphere. The visitors are not an intrusion or alien invasion; they seem already very much at home and in tune with the environment they have entered.
