Life Before Progress (study)

Life Before Progress is a copy of a bucolic old world painting of a barn scene just over a bridge by an unknown artist, painted by artist Carla Strozzieri.

This painting, or rather, one similar to it, made its way to my studio for repairs. I was so taken with its bucolic reminiscence that I decided to make a study of it. In the process, I learned a lot about this (unknown) artist’s style, and came to a greater appreciation of the mastery involved in its creation. Perhaps best of all, I got to explore the landscape of this old world scene. I dubbed my version of this painting “Life Before Progress.”


 La Vita Prima del Progresso


 Questo dipinto, o meglio, uno simile ad esso, fece la sua strada nel mio studio per le riparazioni. Ero così preso con il suo bucolico reminiscenza che ho deciso di fare una copia di esso. Nel processo, ho imparato molto su questo stile dell'artista (sconosciuto), e arrivò ad apprezzare maggiormente la maestria coinvoltanella sua creazione. Forse meglio di tutto, ho avuto modo di esplorare il paesaggio di questa scena delvecchio mondo. Ho soprannominato la mia versione diquesto dipinto "La vita prima del progresso".
